Who are we?

"CAT" Is a team founded to improve the level of the community interested in information technology (IT), either the Engineering and Computer Science students at Mansoura University or others who are interested in this area inside and outside the university.

what's our goal?

our goals is to make the real change.we aim to:

• output people who are capable of challenging in internal IT market,
• output people who are capable to do the creativity in their work,
• output people who have the ability to challenge people outside Egypt,
• output people who can start a research or a project that can change the world,

and all this is to serve our religion and country.

How do we work?

The team adopts a set of policies for pushing the members to work and learn by allowing any group of members who share the same interest to form a "separate team" under the umbrella of "CAT", and is called a "foundation".

Each team or "foundation" has the right to work on activities that meet the technical goals appropriate to them, allowing each foundation to make the best use of the resources of "CAT".

"CAT" now follows a system called the foundations' system , where we are dividing activities across small teams ( every small team is called Foundation ) under the big team "CAT".The goal of this is to enhance the work competition between people , and to make matters more organized.

Currently , "CAT" has Four working foundations till now :

H4ck3rz: "pronounced Hackers" : http://www.CAT-hackers.com A foundation that's concerned with Programming technologies , Systems and Networking issues.

depiak:http://www.depiak.CATreloaded.net A foundation that's concerned with web development and web design , specially the open source tools like "PHP".

PixiCAT:http://www.pixiCAT.CATreloaded.net A foundation that's concerned with all graphics works and video editing , etc .. .They also work on open source graphics.

CSED: http://www.csed-online.com A foundation gathered mainly from Computer and Systems Engineering Department , where they are more related with control matters , electronics , networking and programming issues that serve their work .

What's the CAT core team?

To ensure the stability and constancy of the activities, a group called CAT-Core consists of representatives from each "team" or "foundation", this team is responsible for:

1. Coordination of public relations within the college and outside the College: companies and individuals.
2. Management of resources: financial, equipment, halls and services.
3. Identification - reporting activities that set foundations together in competition, ensuring the integrity of the competition and equivalence.
4. Design a system to evaluate each team and ensure the fairness of the system.
5. To ensure the clarity of activities carried out by the foundations for the members, while ensuring the clarity of "CAT" objectives all the time.

How are they formed? and how can I be one of them?

We choose the most effective and reliable foundations' members to join the CAT core team.Your work in CAT nominates you to be one of the core team.
